Platform Engineer (Java - SRE) CDMX

At Globant, we are looking for a

**Senior Java Engineer**

based in

**Mexico City (CDMX)**

with availability for on-call support. This role requires a strong technical background in Java development combined with infrastructure and SRE practices to ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of our systems.

What You Will Do

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and performance.

- Support production environments with on-call rotations.

- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.

- Monitor applications and infrastructure using observability tools.

- Apply SRE principles to improve system stability and incident response.

What We Are Looking For

**Must Have:**

- Strong experience with Java.

- Solid experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or New Relic.

- Hands-on experience with Docker for container management.

- Experience with Kubernetes for orchestration.

- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

- Strong knowledge of Linux environments.

- Experience working with infrastructure and SRE practices.

**Nice to Have:**

- Experience with Quarkus.
